  Research Interests

Geodynamic cycle of volatiles (H, C, F, Cl, Br, I) through the interior of the Earth:

Present and past volcanic degassing;

Fluid properties and recycling in the subduction factory;

Volatiles transfers and storage from the crust to the mantle en route to the transition zone;

Volatiles solubilities in mantle minerals and their partitioning between minerals and fluids;

Natural diamond growth.

 in situ experimental approach to monitor geological fluids in real time at pressure and temperature.

Technological development of high pressure tools (intelligent diamond anvil cell).

Experimental Skill: diamond anvil cells (Bassett, Mao, Chervin, intelligent DAC), Piston Cylinder, Rapid-quench Autoclaves, Internally Heated autoclaves, Multi anvil presses, Ion Beam implantation.

Analytical Skill: Ion Beam Analysis (PIXE, ERDA, RBS, NRA), X-Ray Fluorescence Analysis and X-Ray Diffraction (Laboratory X-Ray generator and synchrotron), Electronic Microscopy, Scanning Electronic Microscopy, Raman spectroscopy, FTIR spectroscopy.
