Research subject : study of lattice dynamics by Inelastic X-ray Scattering (IXS) on high Tc superconductors and condensed matter systems under extreme conditions.
Research team : F. Sette, M. Krisch, collaboration: A. Shukla, P. Loubèyre.
Instrumental development : on line system for Pressure measurement by Ruby Light (PRL) for diamond anvil cells (DAC), T versus energy calibration based on metrology (silicon lattice parameter and its D(T) thermal expansion), tested on diamond dispersion and ab-initio calculation, assistance in commissioning of 12m IXS spectrometer for sub meV resolution at 25keV.
Complementary techniques : X-ray magnetic scattering (ESRF), X-ray magnetic circular dichroism (LURE), lattice dynamical calculations.

Research subject : study of magnetism by X-ray magnetic circular dichroism on strongly correlated electrons systems.

Instrumental development : dilution cryostat for ultra-vacuum soft X-ray experiments with high magnetic fields (up to 7 Tesla).
